Account Deletion

What This Page Is For

This page explains how to delete your account in the Obiy app, operated by Bendai Teknoloji Anonim Şirketi (“Obiy”), together with the personal data linked to it. You can start the deletion yourself from inside the app, or send the request by email if you can no longer access the app.

Once a deletion request is made, your account is suspended for 30 days; signing in again during that period cancels the request. At the end of the 30 days the account is permanently deleted and cannot be restored.

Deleting From Inside the App

While signed in to the Obiy app:

Open the Profile tab from the bottom menu, then Settings;
Tap Delete account at the bottom of the list;
Read what will be deleted, enter your password if asked, and confirm with Delete my account.

As soon as you confirm, your sessions on every device are closed and the account is suspended. If you sign in again with the same email address, the deletion request is cancelled and your account comes back exactly as it was.

If You Cannot Access the App

If you have uninstalled the app, lost access to your device or cannot sign in, you can send the request by email. From the email address registered to your account, write to info@obiyai.com with the subject line “Account deletion request” and include your username (starting with @).

To confirm that the request comes from the account holder, we may ask you to reply from your registered email address. Once verified, the same 30-day process as in the app begins. We respond to every request within 30 days at the latest, as required by Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.

Before You Delete

A deletion request cannot be started while any of the following is open; please settle them first:

An open order in which you are the buyer or the seller (awaiting acceptance, in progress, or delivered but not yet approved);
A withdrawal request that has not been completed.

Any unused Obiy balance and any earnings you have not withdrawn are lost together with the account and cannot be refunded afterwards. Withdraw your earnings first.

What Is Deleted

When the 30-day suspension ends, the following data is permanently deleted or anonymised so that it can no longer be linked to you:

Email address, name, username, phone number, date of birth, bio, profile and cover photos;
Password, Sign in with Apple and Google links, device and push notification tokens;
Saved IBANs and payout accounts;
Identity, tax and address details in your professional application, and any uploaded identity documents;
Your posts and comments; your generation history and uploaded images become inaccessible together with the account.

What Is Retained

Some records cannot be deleted because of our legal obligations. They are kept separated from your personal details and only for the period required by the applicable law:

Purchase, order, invoice and Obiy transaction records (tax and commercial law);
Records of agreement acceptances (date, version);
Records that are the subject of an ongoing legal dispute or an official request, until it is resolved.
